Some of the guys from the crew have an art show up at the GCS gallery. It has some pieces by 3RDI, Ape One, And Herl but the show features Aseph with over 10 new pieces. There was a great turn out on opening night and people were digging the work so if you have the time, go check out the show.
New Toy

Late last week I picked up a new toy. I got the HTC Evo 3D, It’s my first full blown smart phone, so of course I am enjoying the camera. It’s got an “okay” camera out of the box, but the photo apps that are available for free are so much fun. The 3D photos are fun but not really practical since I can only view them on my phone. So far the most interesting pictures I have made with the phone is the photos that are shot through a toy camera app. So I guess it’s a couple of hundred dollar camera phone that takes nice “twenty-dollar camera” shots.
Freaks of Nature

This is a set of three paintings (titled, Freaks of Nature) that Herl and Ape painted for a show in Australia. It had a little trouble getting there, but it should be there now.
Dia de los Muertos Show

Elizabeth Carranza had an opening reception to her Day of the Dead show at Primera Taza in Boyle Heights. Great work in the gallery and good coffee right next door.

One Hour, Two Fish

I went to meet a friend today at our local “urban lake”, and I witnessed these two fish get caught. I’ve never caught a fish as big as that carp before and the guy that caught it actually said that was a small fish. At this local lake most of the regular anglers practice catch and release, which I thought was a great way to practice a hobby and keep the small lake alive.

These photos are from a Volkswagen meet from last year. As I was looking through my files, trying to find some photos, I stumbled into these pictures. I friend of mine told me this was going on, so I decided to go take I look. Now, I am not a big car enthusiast but some of these classic Volkswagen cars were awesome.
The LA Zoo is Back

The LA Zoo is slowly but surely getting a much needed face lift. It’s nice to visit the Zoo every few months and see the improvements moving forward and opening. My son and I can’t wait for the reptile center to re-open in just a couple of months.
